Ivan McMahon

Ivan McMahon is a co-founder of Éiru Films Ltd. He has been working in the film and television industry for over 30 years and works freelance as a Line Producer on feature films (internationally and in Ireland) and on high-end television dramas (BBC & Channel 5 - UK, ARD & ZDF - Germany, Network 7 & SBS TV - Australia, RTE, Virgin Media, TG4 – Ireland).  

Ivan holds an Honours Master's Degree in Screenwriting and Film Studies and has tutored and mentored in screenwriting at the University of Galway and the Atlantic Technological University.  

Ivan's list of credits also includes over forty as a 1st Assistant Director on feature films, TV Drama, high-end music promos and commercials. Ivan is also proud to say that he originally learned his trade by working on horror, sci-fi and thriller films produced by B Movie legend Roger Corman.  

Heather Higgins

Heather Higgins is a co-founder of Éiru Films Ltd. She has over 20 years of experience as a communications director and managing director, with experience at Bloomberg, where she was a television producer for 11 years. She is the Director of Development for the Academy Awards qualifying festival Galway Film Fleadh, and a communications consultant for the Irish Film and Television Academy. She owns First Bite Catering, a film catering company, and runs her own PR company that specialises in PR services for a range of major film and arts clients in Ireland. She is the Chair of the Loughs Agency Board where she showcases her capacity to provide effective governance and valuable business and communications advice.

Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism and an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.

Alex Stewart

Alex Stewart is the media and communications executive for Éiru Films. Alex is a public relations and marketing professional specialising in arts marketing and communications. She has over 13 years of experience with a career spanning the United States and Ireland. In the US she worked in Nashville, Tennessee at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and in Tampa, Florida at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the fourth largest performing arts center in the US. In Ireland she has worked with artists, organisations and local authorities including Galway Community Circus, Galway Film Fleadh, Irish Film and Television Academy, Galway Culture Company, Galway County Council, TULCA Festival of Visual Arts and the Misleór Festival.  

Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Management from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
